The writing bug hit K.L. at age fifteen. Every three months, she traveled to Washington, DC with her favorite cousin to visit McCoy, a hair braider, who owned floor-to-ceiling bookshelves overflowing with stories from black authors. While her cousin received micro-braids, K.L. immersed herself in the prose of Alice Walker, J. California Cooper, Ntozake Shange, and more. A graduate of Temple University and Palmer’s Eastern School of Christian Ministry (ESCM). K.L. enjoyed a long career as a technical writer before returning to her first love: fiction. While working her day job in the software industry, she started seeking God, found out He was also seeking her, and gave her life to the Lord. The novels He produces through her are stories intended to entertain while simultaneously providing practical teaching.

In addition to her own stories, K.L. is passionately dedicated to helping brand new authors craft the book they always dreamed of publishing. She is an active member of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA). She is the editor/producer of Save Yourself Mama, by Ivy Cocuzzi, Where Were The Tears, by Lucyna Borosh and Jacob Plumb, and The Mid-Life Cravings Journal by Stacey Strickler.

When K.L. steps away from her trusty MacBook, she enjoys bringing order to chaos and dancing whenever and wherever she can. She and her family call the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA home.
